Unity is the Key
Zeta Sisters, Sigma Brothers
I'd like to take this time
To share some concerns
that have crossed my mind.
I know we are the only true family
United by love and a common history.
The colors we wear are exactly the same,
Accented by the similarity between our names.
This design was intentional
as you and I both know.
In hope that our love
would prosper and grow.
But lately it seems
that something is missing,
And more often than not,
Our interests are conflicting.
I don't know the reason why
or how it all began,
But this family of ours needs
to be united again.
We greet each other with
"What's up Frat?" "Hello, Soror"
Yet and the same time,
we hold a grudge in our hearts.
'Cause we don't like the way he spoke
or who she hangs around.
Instead of bringing each other up,
We're pulling each other down.
There are even some who think
They shouldn't get involved.
But that's another reason why
this problem isn't solved.
If there's something about your sister
that you don't seem to like.
Stop paying attention to it
and avoid a needless fight.
If there's something about your brother
that causes your heart to ache.
Stop being so judgmental,
Because we all make mistakes.
Don't disrespect the fraternity
or the sorority either,
Because like the Master said,
We are each other's keeper.
What I'm saying is to remember
as we attend these meetings,
Seek answers, not arguments
and turn grudges into greetings.
Let's all pull together
and work on one accord,
Put a little faith in each other
and the rest in the Lord.
Through His love and guidance,
the whole world will see
that Zeta-Phi-Beta-Sigma
our founders meant for us to be.
"We're either a part of the solution, or part of the problem."

Shame on a Brother
Shame on a Brother who pledged his allbut commits the cardinal sin,for he is not an asset to the organizationthe organization is an asset to him.Shame on a Brother who does no workto help his chapter build, but sit in his blue room with blue lights,on his blue bed drinking blue juice wearing his blue letters, he chills.Shame on a Brother who shows no shameand learns to live with the stigma,Sigma taught him all he knows about time valuenow he has no time for Sigma.Shame on a Brother who is a member, but not activeand does not realize what's at stakefor when to many Brothers lean on the shield, the shield will eventually break.Shame on a Brother for he is not a true Brotherwhen most needed, his pledging stopped. There is no difference between an unactive Brotherand another who pledged and dropped.SHAME ON A BROTHER
CHANTS TO THE RIVER
To the River, To the River, I almost drowned
I thought about SIGMA and I couldn't go down,
I ripped the "S" off of Superman's chest,
and put it on the SIGMA cause it's the best.
CHEW TOBACCO
Chew tobacco, chew tobacco, chew tobacco spit,
If I didn't pledge SIGMA, I wouldn't of pledged sh@!.
ONE MORNING
I woke up one morning, and what did I see
the Three Mighty Founders of Phi B E.
They touched my heart and they touched my soul,
they said oh, don't you pledge that black and gold.
They touched my mouth and they touched my eye,
oh, don't you pledge no K A Psi.
Now they looked me down from my head to my shoe,
oh, you don't want to be no Que.
Now I'm walking down that SIGMA street,
I saw some ZETAS they were looking at me.
I looked to my left and I looked to my right,
but all I could see was that bright blue light.
Now the closer I got to that light you see,
PHI BETA SIGMA was growing in me.
The road is rough to that SIGMALAND,
before I got there I had to cross them SANDS.
Now that I've crossed those Burning Sands,
I can say I'm a SIGMA MAN, I can say I'm a SIGMA MAN.
